Pastor's Testimony

On August 6th, 2011, I suffered a massive heart attack. My doctors told me this was the worst heart attack one could have, often referred to as a “widow maker.” They actually repeatedly said I beat the odds when I survived. At one point I had zero blood flow and respiratory failure. Thank God I lived.

My recovery was quite challenging and often the outcome appeared to my doctors as uncertain since I struggled to even climb the stairs in our home. My husband and I were told by my cardiologist that I could drop dead at any time. For a few months I not only walked around with an external defibrillator, but had to sleep with it attached to my body. My cardiologist recommended this device because in the event I lost consciousness, without immediate defibrillation, even a 911 call could not have saved me since emergency personnel would arrive too late.

I am excited and delighted to say that in spite of such a devastating experience, I prayed, trusted God, and kept my faith for a miracle. Often, I shared with my medical professionals, family and friends my belief that God would give me that miracle. In December 2011, after the results of extensive testing, my doctors in profound amazement announced that my heart's condition was reversed to that of normalcy. My doctors said this was a miracle because full heart recovery after severe damage is not something they had observed before, and it is rare and unexplained even in their medical journals.

Whatever you might be experiencing, even this very moment, just give it to God in prayer with a heart of thanksgiving. He is able to do all things. I am speaking about God who is the same yesterday, today and forever more. A God who cannot and will not fail. Please, take a moment and just give God the glory he deserves.
